University Requirements
The San Francisco East Bay Coast Alive! Teacher Institute is certified for 5 academic units from California State University, East Bay, Extended and Continuing Education. Attendance and participation in class is partial fulfillment for academic quarter units.
Every class requires a written paper within two weeks of the close of each session for fulfillment of the university requirements. Sign up for university credits on the first day of class.

Independent Study
An additional independent study unit (for a total of 6 units), EBRPD Special Project, may be obtained for educators who design their own project based on the content of core classes, field test the project with students, and write a summary of the results. The independent study requires a minimum of 10 hours commitment. Sign up for this independent study unit on the first day of class for an additional $59.
