Eureka Series Field Studies include hands-on activities such as testing water and soil quality, observing sand crab behavior, investigating sedimentation rates, and using rapid biological assessment to study plant and animal populations.

While carried out primarily in the California State Parks, field studies have also taken place in the East Bay Regional Parks and the Elkhorn Slough Estuarine Research Reserve.
